Developing good sleep habits early on is critical to a child’s development. But how do you get a baby to sleep through the night?

  1. My seven week old will sleep on anyone yet as soon as you put her down for the night she’s awake and full of energy . I put her in a sleep sack and even that didn’t work it just made her lazy to feed during the night and not latching right . I’m so so so tired !

  2. I have a 17 year old daughter and a 7 week old baby boy. I'm 41, so much older than I was at 23. I swear my daughter was much easier and slept through the night pretty early on. But I honestly can't remember 😕 my son recently started spitting/throwing up after every feeding and in between 😢 I'm breastfeeding and formula feeding. Please don't come for me but my son sleeps in bed with me. I don't have any pillows near him. I tried the bassinet that can be right up next to the bed, a moses basket and a regular bassinet and he won't stay asleep in it. He cries and gets so worked up. My inlaws said to let him cry it out. But I can't do that. When he's 2 or 3 months I'm going to start sleep training. Because it's safer for him to be in his own bed and I want my bed back! My husband is in another state (he's in the Army) so I'm so thankful for my Mom and all she does. I seriously couldn't do this without her. My daughter helps when she's home lol and my inlaws offer to have him over. But I'm not ready for him to stay the night anywhere just yet. Thank you for this video. You both answered every question I had.

Sincerely one mentally and physically exhausted Mama ♡

  3. When i was pregnant couldnt sleep properly , i used to get like 3 – 4 at the time and i thought that was hard lol now with a new born baby boy i realise how luck i was. 🤣🤣

  4. It's not the night that hurts us, it's the day sleeps. My boy never naps. We believe that he's all cranky because he doesn't sleep during the day. He sleeps through the night already. It's the day that's the problem

  5. All 4 of my children were sleep trained from the first week. I never kept the house quiet during the day. I purposely didn't let my child sleep all day. Things like changing a diaper and a little mid day sponge bath will wake a baby up. I would interact with them and talk to them as much as I could during the day. Then every evening about 9 pm or 10 pm baby would get a warm sponge bath or full soothing bath. Warm water and baby wash. Then lotion time. I kept everything quiet and soothing. Feed them their night feeding. Burp time. Swaddle baby real good so they can fall asleep. In a few weeks they were pretty much sleeping thru the night. I still checked on them thru the night. I even set an alarm to get up and check on them once they were sleeping longer. I also used things like a fan for white noise. And I played soft soothing music. They whole idea is to make a strong night time ritual that results in baby resting longer. Also, with my oldest son, he was starving. After 6 weeks I had to start adding a little baby cereal to his formula. Took him a few days to adjust but he stopped screaming his head off at night. He was content. All my kids got formula. I don't have answers for moms who breastfeed. I have no experience with that. So this is my old school advice from a mother to 4 and now grand mother to 8.
