  1. My twins are 9 months old and still have not started solids, and im worried about them. I keep trying but they gag and vomit. I've exclusively been pumping milk and giving them bottles. I've given them larger amounts of milk as they are on the smaller side. They are my 4th and 5th babies. 1st time having trouble feeding my babies.

  2. Can you implement these changes although initially you may have stated wrong? Eg: tv on etc? Keep the tv on because when she starts eating she starts yawning so try to keep the place noisy so she doesn’t start getting cranky and sleepy

  3. Hi Emma, thank you for this video, it sure does sound hopeful and helpful at the moment. I never knew babies could be scared of their food. I also didn't know positioning could play a role, especially for picky eaters like my infant. All this while, I've never used a chair for my baby when feeding her; I hold her instead. It’s gonna change now, thanks to you.

  4. Emma always makes me feel better! I’ve been watching her videos since I became a new mom eight months ago, and she always calms my anxieties with tips that make sense.❤Emma is the only one you need!!!

  5. So reasuring, really. My baby is 6.5 months old and so far he's not interested at all in swallowing anything but fórmula. I feel so much preasure from my family to spoon feed him all his portion whilst he is distracted with a screen (as I sadly did for my eldest 12 years ago, when I didn't know any better).
My family can't understand English so I can't refear them to your videos, but It is reasuring enough for me to stop transmitting bad feeding habits .

I had so much problems with my eldest because of having force fed him as a baby. At 4y we sort of made an intervention. He hated eating so much that we finally stoped forcing him to eat and gave him freedom to choose. He wouldn't eat a thing for over a week other than some milk but after 15 days he started asking for food. Now he is a picky eater but he doesn't hate meal time and has some favorite dishes and foods, such as sushi 🍣. I hope we could reverse some of our wrongdoing

  6. We were doing fine with BLW for 6 months. Since she turned 1, she's been refusing solid, even the stuff she liked (eggs and oatmeal). She's been constipated again for the past 2 days, so idk if it played a factor. I feel like all the progress evaporated.
She's tolerated whole milk fine, but we're limited to 3 bottles per day

  7. My baby is now almost 9 months and is refusing spoon feeding entirely – i struggle to find BLW options that actually get eaten. Should he really not consume too much? He likes bread but he needs to eat more things…

  8. Hi Emma, thanks for your tips. My 10 month old closes her lips everytime I take food to her mouth. We try Cerelac, other foods cooked at home eg. rice, pasta. She seems to take 1-2 morsels of food and then closes her lips tightly when food is taken to her mouth. She grabs the spoon and throws it or she will try to put her hands into the food bowl and play with it and throw it around everywhere until the bowl is empty. If I refill the bowl she does the same thing again. We have tried giving her an extra spoon, which she constantly throws and then grabd the spoon with the food. We swap and she does the same thing again. All she does is throw the food or close her mouth tighly. We try to distract her , sing to her , play with her — nothing seems to work!! please help..one frustrated parent!!

  9. My baby is soon 10 months. She was refusing the bottle from 4 months but completely refuses the bottle from 8 months. I was stress out. So I start giving her solids but I blend it with the formula, most time she refuses it and I ofto distract her, she would take 2 hours to complete the meal as she takes long to swallow.

This is causing me a meltdown because I try most things and she refuses and if I'm behaving this way imagine if I leave her with a caretaker, thinking of this causes me more stress, panic attacks and depression and worry etc and I'm praying n trying to control. But I'm just sad and dont know what else to do. N my mom can only do so much trying not to stress herself.

I normally wait 4 hours to give her solids

I went to doc, they say she us a picky eater. But I'm telling you something is wrong because she would even go hoursvwithiut eating.

Imma take her to doctor again though.

  10. Hello ma'am, my baby is underweight and she is 10 months old with 6.3 kgs. I give her liquids and paste. Whenever i try giving her solids like rice or something she will throw out from her mouth. When I feed her rice paste or something she will eat a bowl of it. If I start with solids and if she doesn't eat the same quantity will my baby gain weight? She also drinks formula around 600-700 ml. I have reduced the amount. I feed her three times a day. Her birth weight was 2.3 kgs. How should I make her gain weight? She is very active and achieving her milestones. She is crawling and walking around with a walker and holding on furniture and a wall. Please help 🙏 thank you.

  11. Cant thank you enough. Our first born had bad bottle aversion. We didnt have good pediatrician so she missed all the signs of aversion and just keep putting him on different medication stating that he has bad acid reflux. Then, I found that book about aversion and he had all the signs of severe aversion. He was less than 2 percentile in his growth and GI pediatrician was talking about an NG tube for feeding which we knew he will never gonna like it. We worked on it slowly. Now, he has some aversion to solid foods also but by watching your videos, it is helping us alot and teaching us to correct our mistake which we are committing without even knowing. Thank you so much…
    Huge respect from US.

  12. Ooo the giving baby spoon idea was genius! Didn't know that one, great way to help them get used to the feel of spoon too😊
    Great explanation in every video👍🏾

  13. I have been watching your channel and really need your help. I have a toddler boy who is 28 months, he missed the milestone of self feeding or moving on finger food. I have always feed him, he now eats mashed rice. But he still does not know how to chew and eat.He just swallows. He does chew chips or even biscuits. He just sucks till it becomes soggy. I am really stressed.
