Newborn Sleep
How long a newborn sleeps depends on his age. Newborns initially sleep about 16 hours a day. But during these 16 hours they do not sleep continuously but wake up for some time in the middle of sleep and fall asleep again. Newborn babies usually get 8 to 9 hours of sleep during the day and about 8 to 9 hours at night. However, they do not sleep for more than 1 to 2 hours continuously. Most babies under the age of three months do not want to sleep without laps and walking, this issue usually get fixed by the age of 6 months.
