For Aditi Bhallaon, despite having a successful career and a life that appeared ‘perfect’, her journey was filled with anxiety, self-doubt and low self-esteem. Her soul craved happiness and connection with who she was, and by cultivating this authentic relationship with herself, everything else around her changed as a result. Seeing other women struggling with similar issues, she created Bloom into Happiness to guide others to harness a true and authentic relationship with themselves – free from fears and self-doubt. Here she talks to The Natural Parent Magazine about the inspiration behind her business, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.
The passion: What inspired you to set up your business?
Being a medically trained high achiever, hustling my way through life, I was smashing goals that were set out for me. But on this journey, I have been filled with anxiety, self- doubt and low self-esteem. Even though I felt lost, empty and unhappy in a life that appeared perfect, I never cut myself any slack and continued to feel I “wasn’t good enough”. Sound familiar? I had everything that society marks criteria for a happy life, yet I was lost running on auto pilot mode.
Then one day after a panic attack, I knew there was more than the adversities I faced. My soul craved happiness and connection with who I am. I know through my own experience that by cultivating this authentic relationship with myself, everything else around me changed as a result. I know me and I love me, and I OWN MY FIRE.
On my journey, I saw many women struggling with similar issues, but my final push came to set up my business after my son was born. I want to support mums and all women because I truly believe that by making a change in our life, we will leave a lasting impact on the coming generation too – and we all want to leave a loving world for our children.
The launch: How did you start out in the beginning?
I am a serial learner – what started as a journey of self-healing and many years of extensive training and self-development led me to starting Bloom Into Happiness. However, it wasn’t easy – I had to work through my own doubts and fears. Leaving a career I was already doing well in was scary, especially the fears of judgement from others.
I’ve had tons of support from my husband and I always kept going back to my “why”.
The innovation: What was the biggest breakthrough for you with your business?
Bringing spiritual techniques into the practice has been my biggest breakthrough. I say I am scientifically trained but spiritually led. I did it the hard way and now I am on a mission to support people so they don’t have to. This is exactly why I bring in spiritual techniques into my practice – addressing the whole mind-body-soul healing in ONE PLACE!! Another breakthrough was knowing that I wasn’t alone! Every mum I speak to struggles with what I did; every professional I connect with lives in the same self-doubt and is often questioning the very same things I did.
Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?
I prioritise – lists and plans are my best friend with of course room for going with the flow, but I always have a plan. I also have A LOT of support from my husband, but I’m also not afraid of asking for help when needed. It’s important to remember not every day will be the same. Some days I am more on mom duties and some days my work needs me more – it’s about creating a balance in life that makes you and your family happy.
