Christmas has come to The Postal Museum! From 5 November to 2 January, visitors can ride Mail Rail with a festive twist and participate in arts and crafts activities inspired by David Gentleman’s famous ’12 Days of Christmas’ stamp designs.

On Saturday, 30 November, 7 & 14 December, drop-in arts and crafts activities will take place in the Mail Rail Depot. Visitors can try their hand at lino printing, inspired by David Gentleman’s ‘12 Days of Christmas’ stamps from 1977. Whether you want to recreate a partridge in a pear tree, five gold rings, or something of your own unique design, you’ll be able to craft a print to use over and over to make your own pictures and cards.

Visitors can also see the museum’s Christmas collection of greeting cards by Black British makers, exhibited in the main gallery and see the family-friendly exhibition Dressed to Deliver.

WHEN: From 5 November to 2 January

WHERE: Activities take place in the Mail Rail Depot and are included in museum admission and are best suited for ages 5-11, but all ages are welcome. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis in the Mail Rail Depot and children must be accompanied by an adult.
