A lot of this information is garbage. Far more is needed than just ‘put baby down for a nap’. As a dad of a 4 month old, a lot of detail has been missed out and made out to be very simple. Look elsewhere for information would be my advice.

I keep trying the football hold (baby is six days old) and my wife bellows at me I'm doing it wrong. So I will use another hand to support his head because I'm afraid. He's so tiny and fragile. Then. She just says wrong wrong wrong. English is her second language so she also cannot just explain what she wants to, but still. She has been off work and home with baby all day. So she can practice. All day. I get to practice a few minutes a day. I'm apparently supposed to be perfect by now. Help.

Seems like a lot of the big hospitals have erased all mention of the word dad in favor of “support partners”, it’s sickening. This seems like a rational healthcare organization.
